Is the mouse plugged into that particular usb, because it could be the usb that you plug your camera into.

There's one very simple solution to this very common problem that so many people who try to download photos from the cameras to the computer where many of Us Regulars typically would suggest to be using a Card Reader. A Card Reader can be found at many Electronic stores and doesn't cost that much.

When I used the card reader my memory card was damaged by taking it in and out of the camera so often and eventually stopped working. I'd used less than 5% of the card capacity when it stopped working and it had cost ne £80, so I'd prefer to stick to using a cable in future as I can't afford to keep buying new cards. .
